This site exists for one reason: most digital productivity advice is written by people who have never had 14,000 unread emails, a Slack notification going off at 10 PM, or a Google Drive so disorganized that finding last quarter’s report took longer than rewriting it. My name is James Arthur. For 6 years, I worked in operations and remote team management at a consulting firm, where I was responsible for keeping 22 people’s workflows from collapsing into chaos. That meant I personally lived inside the problems this site covers: I tried every file organization system that gets recommended online. Most of them failed within six weeks. I ran the Slack experiment \u2014 deleted it from my phone for two weeks and tracked what actually happened. The bottleneck I kept hitting was this: the advice available online assumes you have a clean slate. Every guide on this site is based on something I have actually done, tested, or broken. If I write about switching a phone to grayscale to reduce screen pull, I ran it for a week and wrote down what changed. If I write about merging email accounts into one workflow, I did it across four real inboxes and documented where it went wrong. I do not publish theoretical frameworks. The limitation I run into most often is that what works for a solo freelancer falls apart entirely for someone managing a team \u2014 so I try to flag those distinctions explicitly rather than pretending one approach fits everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
